- You buy a kit for $3 (containing a pattern and fabric to make a stocking), you sew the stocking together, and then you decorate/embellish it using more fabric, buttons, ribbon, lace, bells...anything you want to make it unique, fun, and festive.
- You bring it back to Thistle Dew (by November 30), we give it a number, and hang it up.
- For the next two weeks, customers vote on their favorite ones.
- We count the votes, and award the prizes:

Fabrics and More
We've made our own Christmas Charm Packs again this year using our beautiful selection of Christmas fabrics. Each charm pack has 2 each of 20 different fabrics. Use one pack to make a baby blanket or table topper, or buy 2-3 and make a gorgeous scrappy holiday quilt!
We've added many buttons to our collection. We've replenished our stock of large buttons for purses and knitwear and added some more novelty buttons, including sheep and chickens! Also, there are two fun new collections: monogram buttons and school color buttons.
|| Monogram buttons are 1-3/4" buttons with nine holes forming a large square. You use a decorative thread to make letters, numbers, or any design.
||Using a 1" outside button and a 5/8" inside button, you create a unique button that represents your favorite school or sports team (shown here in 49er colors, of course). Or just combine your favorite colors to accent your projects.
We have 10 colors of the new blender designed by Pepper Cory, Peppered Cottons. "This fabric is considered a shot cotton which essentially means that the threads in the warp and the weft are different colors. This helps to create an iridescent or chambray look which means that the fabric takes on different colors depending on the angle that you are viewing the fabric." They're beautiful!
Also new to Thistle Dew are a beautiful contemporary print from Clothworks, a wonderful kids fabric from Henry Glass featuring a book panel, and a gorgeous print from Northcott featuring paisleys and florals.
Come in the week before or after your birthday
to get 20% off one purchase!
Also, if you buy the end of the bolt, you get 10% off that fabric! (Every day!)
Thank you for being one of our wonderful customers!
