May 9, 2013----------Vol. 5, No. 14

Announcements & Special Events

We love Cheryl Sumpter's version of the Thistle Dew felted wool chicken.  She added the cute chicks, making it a perfect picture to wish you a Happy Mother's Day!  We hope all you moms have a wonderful day this Sunday.  We will be open our regular hours on that day.

There are a couple of quilt shows coming up in June:

Flying Needles Quilters Guild 2013 Quilt Show is June 1 and 2 at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland.  Click here for more information:

Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County presents Wine Country Quilts on June 1 and 2 at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Rosa.  For more information, click here:

New Fabrics and More

From Moda, we just received Mill Book.  "A Mill Book or Swatch Book contains samples of printed fabrics.  Many fabric mills kept a small piece of every print they produced in a series of scrapbooks.  Others kept swatches of designs printed by the competition.  Moda's Circa 1935 Mill Book is full of samples from several different mills in France...perhaps saved as an idea book by a designer or technician."

We've received more adorable kids' flannels from Fabri-Quilt, and they're only $9.98!

Believe it or not, we're st
arting to get Halloween fabrics!

And we've made a new quilt kit using Esprit de Noel layer cakes from Moda.

And remember, we have lots of sale fabrics at 50% off, and all 'old generation' Bali Pops are still 20% off!
