Thistle Dew Quilt Shoppe--Quilt Rush Reminder

April 15, 2013

This is our newsletter for this week.  It's short ... we just want to remind you that Quilt Rush starts this Wednesday and to tell you about a doll class this weekend.

Northern California's 14th Annual Shop Hop, "A Creative Rush", starts this Wed, April 17, and continues through Sun, April 21. It's hosted by 15 area shops and includes lots of great prizes, giveaways, and Fun, Fun, Fun!  On Friday, April 19, the Pixeladies will be at our shop to give demos (11 am, 1pm, and 2pm) on Furoshiki, the ancient, elegant Japanese art of enfolding objects in fabric.  Visit the Quilt Rush website for more information on participating shops, times, and prizes: www.quiltrush.org.  We're looking forward to seeing you!

Note:  Whistle Stop Quilt Shop has moved from Colfax to:
13342 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA (Foresthill exit from I-80, behind McDonald's).  Also, Shared Stitches in Shingle Springs is closed.

DollWorks is hosting a wet needle felting class with New York NIADA artist Deborah Pope on Saturday-Tuesday, April 20-23, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the Hampton Inn on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento.  You will make a darling little elf-like creature.  For more information, contact Pame Rose Bates, President of DollWorks -- phone 530-330-0750, email Pame@Pame.co.  (DollWorks is one of the oldest groups in Northern California of Figurative Artists.  The group dedicated to the education and creation of art dolls in mixed mediums.)
