We also have an ever-expanding section devoted to handwork and embellishments: Cosmo embroidery floss, lots of specialty threads, hand-dyed felted wool, ribbons, Ultrasuede, and beads from both vintage and contemporary designers.
CAMP FIRE DONATIONS (as of 12/21/2018) - We are taking donations at this time of portable sewing machines, precuts, kits, and notions.  Please, no scraps or open yardage of fabric.
Art Exhibit

We are very excited to have an exhibit of 18 art pieces from local fabric artist, Penny Hanscom, for the next several weeks.  Penny paints with fabric, creating intricate collages that utilize hundreds of pieces of fabric.  Her inspirations include people and events of daily life and also art history and the great masters.  Her award-winning artworks have shown throughout the U.S.  Be sure to come in and see Penny's amazing art!

The American Girl Dolls group donated nineteen 18" dolls with four outfits, a quilt and pillow, and a suitcase or bed each to Toys for Tots last year (2018).  Their next project is to dress dolls to send to the children of Paradise, CA.  If you would like to donate a new 18" doll or donate money so the group can buy dolls and accessories, please call or email the shop (916-967-5479) or (tdqs@thistledewquiltshoppe.com).
